What's On

Parkinson's Dance

11 January - 22 March 2013

Overview

Fridays 3.15–4.45pm, followed by 30min social in foyer

Teacher: Sophia Hulbert / Aimee Smith

Seafront Studio

A fun and therapeutic class with movement specifically designed for the symptoms of Parkinson’s. Carers are invited to watch or join in free of charge.

This class is 1.5 hours in length and is followed by a 30-minute social in the foyer. Suitable for both men and women of all ages and their carers.

Plus! Come and join us to celebrate World Parkinson’s Day on Thursday 11 April from 10am - 5.45pm with a programme of free activities and information, including a panel discussion and various taster sessions.

Please wear suitable attire for the style of dance class you are attending. If this is your first time to class, leggings, light jogging trousers and a leotard, T-shirt or top that allows the instructor to see your alignment is best suited. Please note,  we do not allow black-soled trainers or outdoor shoes in our studios because they damage our floors.

Warm-ups are essential to prevent injury and so if you are more than 5 minutes late, you may find that you are not allowed into class.
