Pavilion Dance is the new centre for dance based in Bournemouth. It connects with venues, artists, partners and audiences locally, nationally and internationally and strives to put Bournemouth on the map as a beacon for inspirational dance.

We want to build relationships with local private dance schools and have begun the process already by holding two open meetings.

Feedback from these networking meetings suggested that local teachers wanted key events taking place in Bournemouth, rather than having to travel further afield for them.

We’re delighted to say that the in response to this feedback the Royal Academy Dance is holding its summer school here in August 2011.

We’re delighted to announce a brand new Associate School Scheme where local private dance schools can:

• Attend regular networking meetings
• Access and hire our dance studios and theatre at a privileged rate
• Take part in other special events

To take part in this scheme, your school needs to be affiliated to one of the national examining bodies e.g. RAD, ISTD, IDTA, BTDA, UKA, BBO.
