Exhibitions

We have expansive white gallery space leading up to our theatre and often host free exhibitions. Feel free to enjoy the works during our opening hours.

Pavilion Dance presents a unique partnership with Dorset Visual Arts where we invite professional artists and members of DVA to come in and respond to the creative process of professional dance companies that we have in residence here at Pavilion Dance.  The work created is then exhibited when the dance company are performing at Pavilion Dance later in the year.

We’re working with DVA to curate a very special exhibition for Dorset Arts Week 2012 (26th May – 10th June) whereby all the invited artists will present their finest work that has been created for a unique dance themed exhibition in Bournemouth.

Rita Brown, who held her exhibition here November 2011 - January 2012 says:

It was a great experience, one that was creatively challenging and that has impacted my practice and sent me in another direction with my work on the body. It has fuelled my enthusiasm and confidence in my direction of the work. This is would not have happened without this involvement. Pavilion Dance staff were welcoming, supportive and very helpful."
